Concrete Field Technician
Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the quality control and assurance of concrete materials on construction sites. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills.Key Responsibilities
- Concrete Testing: Conduct field tests on concrete samples, including slump tests, temperature checks, air content measurements, and compressive strength tests.
- Quality Control: Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout the concrete placement process.
- Material Sampling: Collect and prepare samples of concrete, aggregates, and other materials for laboratory testing.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing results, inspections, and compliance reports, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
- Site Inspections: Perform regular site inspections to verify that concrete work meets project requirements and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to address concrete-related concerns and provide technical support as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and stored according to company policies and industry standards.
- Training and Safety: Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in construction technology, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in concrete testing or construction fieldwork; knowledge of ASTM and ACI standards is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using concrete testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor as needed.
- Certifications: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
