Concrete Field Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the quality control and assurance of concrete materials on construction sites. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Testing: Conduct field tests on concrete samples, including slump tests, temperature checks, air content measurements, and compressive strength tests.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout the concrete placement process.
  • Material Sampling: Collect and prepare samples of concrete, aggregates, and other materials for laboratory testing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing results, inspections, and compliance reports, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
  • Site Inspections: Perform regular site inspections to verify that concrete work meets project requirements and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to address concrete-related concerns and provide technical support as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and stored according to company policies and industry standards.
  • Training and Safety: Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in construction technology, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in concrete testing or construction fieldwork; knowledge of ASTM and ACI standards is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in using concrete testing equipment and tools.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor as needed.
  • Certifications: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.

Invoice and Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Invoice and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the invoicing process, monitoring accounts receivable balances, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoicing and Billing:
    • Prepare and issue accurate invoices and statements to clients in a timely manner.
    • Ensure project billing details align with contract terms and client agreements.
    • Address and resolve any discrepancies related to billing promptly.
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Monitor accounts receivable balances and maintain accurate records.
    • Follow up on outstanding payments and communicate with customers as needed. Be comfortable with early stage collections calls.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Sales Tax Remittance and Processing:
    • Partner with Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate remittance of sales taxes to local authorities
    • Ensure Customer Sales Tax Exemption certificates are properly recorded and archived
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and aging analysis.
    • Identify trends or issues in payment patterns and recommend corrective actions.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes related to accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
  • Customer Service and Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to invoices and payments.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Suggest and implement improvements to invoicing and collection procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and compliance standards related to accounts receivable.

Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a similar role.
    • Familiarity with accounting software and invoicing systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
